Former Artis Group chief executive Chris Greatrex has joined Canberra-based digital transformation specialist Veritec to lead its expansion into New South Wales.
Starting today, Greatrex will spearhead Veritec’s business applications and cloud modernisation operations in the newly created role of general manager for NSW.
Greatrex comes fresh off a short stint working in a product development role at Datacom. Prior to that, Greatrex was managing director of Microsoft app specialist Artis Group from 2011 to 2019.
Veritec chief executive Keiran Mott said Greatrex’s experience with Microsoft platforms made him an ideal hier.
“We’re excited to welcome Chris and his wealth of knowledge to the Veritec family. He has proven experience in helping customers to build and deploy cloud-based business applications solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Azure,” said Mott.
“We look forward to Chris drawing on his deep expertise to help drive our growth in NSW in the enterprise and state government sectors specifically."
Greatrex will also join Veritec’s senior leadership group.
“Veritec has a strong reputation in the industry for having a team of subject matter experts who are passionate about delivering outcomes for their customers,” said Greatrex.
“Personally, I see a huge opportunity for me to work with the Veritec team to continue to build on the organisation’s already impressive list of Microsoft competencies including and growing our footprint nationally across Australia.”
This April, Veritec launched an “apprenticeship-style” trainee program for IT skills in partnership with the Australian Training Company (ATC), the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and Skills Canberra.
