Former Artis Group boss Chris Greatrex has popped back up in a new role at Trans-Tasman IT provider Datacom.
Greatrex started last month working in business and product development for Datacom, according to his LinkedIn, but didn't offer any more detail on what the new gig entails.
Greatrex left business application specialist Artis Group earlier this year after close to eight years leading the Sydney-based Microsoft partner. He was replaced by former CA Technologies services VP Mark Bennett.
“Chris was instrumental in shifting the Artis Group strategy to one highly focused on Microsoft Dynamics and building leading solutions founded on this technology,” Bennett told CRN at the time. “Additionally Chris initiated the development of our highly successful South Australian operation.”
Prior to joining Artis Group as managing director in 2011, Greatrex worked for the likes of SMS Managament and Technology, Kaz Technology Services and Sirius Computer Solutions.
Datacom's head of sales for Australia Keir Garrett said: " “With Datacom’s ongoing investments across Australia, there’s an opportunity to accelerate our sales and delivery of business applications in the form of packaged, repeatable offerings covering all market segments and across the industry verticals Datacom focusses on.
"These offerings will further enhance Datacom’s existing portfolio and capability across multi-cloud, Microsoft’s Business Platforms including Business Central, Dynamics 365 and Modern Workplace and IT managed services.”
Datacom last year reported 9.3 percent revenue growth to hit A$1.19 billion, its 20th year of continuous growth. Since then, the company has rejigged its operating structure, scrapping its state-centric approach and reshuffling leadership roles.
