After more than two years of business Firewall Systems has ‘pulled apart’ its business and is now approaching distribution in a different way.
As a business name Firewall Systems will now be known as Distribution Central, with the managed service distributor becoming a division of that business organisation, said Nick Verykios marketing director at Distribution Central.
“Firewall Systems still exists for our partners. There’s nothing changed about that, but Distribution Central will be our vendor portal,” said Verykios.
As part of the new business, the distributor has opened a new division called NetWorld Systems. This area of the company will look after technical service-orientated network infrastructure products. It will look after LAN, WAN, Wireless and converged mobility.
It has moved existing vendors, Aruba Networks and Avocent, across from Firewall Systems to NetWorld Systems. The distributor has also signed new distribution agreements with vendors Accellion, Force 10 Networks, Netgear’s Prosafe enterprise product and Xinda – a local WAN opitmisation vendor.
