Excite wins $3.2m federal government contract expansion

Excite Technology Services has secured a $3.2 million expansion of an existing contract with an unnamed Australian federal government agency, covering the supply of specialised technology, software and associated training over a further 24 months.

The ASX-listed company said the identity of the customer has been withheld due to the sensitive nature and security requirements of the contract, describing the buyer only as an agency of the Australian Federal Government.

Chief executive and managing director Bryan Saba said the result demonstrated the trust placed in the company's specialist capabilities and its ability to deliver in complex operating environments.

"This is our first major contract win since completing a significant restructure earlier this year, and reinforces our position as a trusted supplier to government," Saba said.

The company told the market last month that based on the company's current sales pipeline, contracted revenue and operating cost structure, it continues to progress towards profitability.
