Francois Vazille has joined Oracle as its vice president APAC, having departed Schneider Electric in May after just a year.

A spokesperson from Schneider Electric confimed Vazille's departure. "Francois Vazille left the organisation on Friday 1 May. Formal recruitment for the position has begun."

At Schneider, Vazille was vice president, IT business and customer transformation for the Pacific region, responsible for growth, revenue and managing profit and loss.

Previous to that, he held a number of executive roles at IBM over 13 years, most recently as vice president of sales, enterprise and government. He was also general manager systems and technology group, and director of technology and systems for the Telstra account.

He also spent five months as managing director of cloud consultancy firm F1 Consulting.

Oracle declined to comment to CRN.

Schneider Electric reported a two percent decline in growth in Asia Pacific in Q1 2015. Asia Pacific accounts for 28 percent of Schneider Electric's business.
