DPSA bags pair of distie deals

Australian distie DPSA has fattened its distributor bag of goodies by signing two new vendors.

The company has been appointed the sole Australian distributor of Zellabox's range of micro data centres, and will also distribute Talariax's sendQuick SMS Servers.

The Zellabox micro data centres are complete 'data-centre-in-a-box' solutions that are air-tight and self-contained. They have been designed for a range of environments such as remote locations, industrial sites and offices with open floor plans.

Talariax's sendQuick SMS Server, meanwhile, is a plug-and-play appliance for sending and receiving SMS alerts to mobile phones. It is able to support SNMP Traps, syslog and email, making it suitable for data centre, IT infrastructure, IT management and security infrastructure.

DPSA's CEO Jacques Tesson said both manufacturers were "a really good fit" for the distributor's existing offerings, which focus on the design and distribution of physical infrastructure solutions for data centres and server rooms.

Tesson said he expected the newly acquired products to open up new markets to DPSA's resellers, especially in mining, health, education and banking.

"We think it's going to help the reseller to sell more IT faster in the market," Tesson told CRN. "For example, wherever you need IT in a thirsty environment without cooling or with high humidity or splashing water, that's where the  Zellabox will create more opportunity for the reseller."
