The New South Wales government is rebooting its Telecommunications Purchasing Agreements (TPA) with version 2.0, in a tender request that closes on March 21 this year.
Digital NSW says the purpose of the tender is to establish an all of government panel for providing compeitive enterprise telecommunications goods and services.
The scope of the panel includes carriage, namely telecommunications products for comms or the transfer of data between two or more static locations, that can be delivered over different types of transmission media and infrastructure.
Mobility, which includes leveraging wireless technologies such as cellular networks, and compound services for a broad range of telecommunications and products adjacent to those are also in the scope of the supplier panel.
Version 2.0 of the panel replaces 1.0, which was established in 2018.
The new panel was mooted in May last year, as the NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS) observed that over the seven-year life of the first panel, buyer needs have evolved along with the nature of the supply market.
Mandatory requirements for the Telecommunications Purchasing Agreement 2.0 include scheme membership of ICT Services SCM0020 and SCM0053.
