NSW govt seeks feedback from telco suppliers for new panel

The New South Wales Department of Customer Service (DCS) has invited telecommunications suppliers to provide feedback for its new Telecommunications Purchasing Agreement panel (TPA V2.0).

The panel seeks to replace TPA V1, which was established in 2018 to help drive value for money, encourage contestability in the telecommunications supply market and simplify procurement processes for NSW agencies.

TPA V1 is set to expire at the end of June 2025.

In an invitation to respond published on 30 April 2024, DCS said it is seeking feedback from suppliers of enterprise telecommunications goods and services to help shape the new panel.

"The TPA V1 panel has been considered a success in delivering against its initial objectives. However, over the seven-year life of the panel, buyer needs have evolved along with the nature of the supply market," DCS stated in the invitation to respond.

The new panel will consist of telecommunications suppliers that offer enterprise solutions spanning fixed and mobile services, mobile hardware and professional services.

DCS said TPA V2.0 will be built around principles including value for money, fair and open competition, ease of use, social outcomes, flexibility and compliance.

The invitation to respond will close on 28 May 2024.
