Dell Technologies has announced updates to its server, storage and data protection portfolios designed to help businesses modernise their data centres for artificial intelligence and other emerging workloads.

The infrastructure upgrades focus on improving performance, energy efficiency and scalability to support both traditional and modern applications.

Dell introduced four new PowerEdge servers featuring Intel Xeon 6 Processors with P-cores that can reduce data centre footprints and energy consumption while maintaining high performance.

The PowerEdge R770 server can free up to 80 per cent of rack space while saving half the energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions compared to legacy platforms.

Organisations rethinking their IT strategies to respond to the rise of AI, the need to support both traditional and modern workloads and increased cyber threats are issues that Dell is seeking to solve.

The company also unveiled improvements to its PowerStore intelligent storage platform, introducing AI-powered analytics, enhanced zero-trust security capabilities, and advanced file system support.

For organisations handling large volumes of data for AI workloads, Dell has released the next generation of ObjectScale, which it describes as "the industry's highest-performing object platform."

The new ObjectScale XF960 delivers up to twice the throughput per node compared to competitors and eight times greater density than previous-generation all-flash systems.

Dell's PowerScale storage solution, designed for AI-driven operations, has been upgraded with high-density all-flash storage using 122TB SSDs that can provide up to 6 petabytes of high-speed data access in a single 2U node configuration.

Complementing these storage innovations, Dell has strengthened its data protection offerings with the introduction of PowerProtect DD6410.

The device is aimed at small to medium businesses, along with PowerProtect All-Flash Ready Node, which delivers 61 per cent faster restore speeds while using 36 per cent less power.
