Datacom scores national contact centre partnership
Brendan Maree

Australian IT service provider Datacom has signed a national partnership with global contact centre vendor Interactive Intelligence.

The deal will see Datacom extend sales, service and support for the vendor's entire communications range across Australia and New Zealand.

Interactive Intelligence has more than 6,000 customers around the world, with offices in the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

The partnership aims to open up “major new business opportunities” for both companies in public and private sector organisations, said Brendan Maree, Interactive Intelligence's vice president for Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The vendor’s customer interaction centre (CIC) can be deployed on-premise or in the cloud.

The partnership follows a big year for Datacom in 2014, in which it hired a new Australian CEO in Theresa Eyssens, a new Australian director for Datacom Connect in Stacey Tomasoni, and scored a $5 million deal with NSW corruption watchdog ICAC.

After tax profit increased by 43 percent or NZ$15.4 million for the financial year ending 31 March, 2014.
