DP Computing, an Australian MSP specialising in Ubiquiti UniFi networking solutions, has rolled out a network deployment to the remote Kings Creek Station in the Northern Territory.
Kings Creek Station, located near Kings Canyon in the NT, spans approximately 2,000 square kilometres and functions as both a working cattle station and a tourist destination.
Prior to the Ubiquiti network deployment, the station faced significant connectivity issues, with limited Wi-Fi coverage and unreliable communications for both staff and visitors.
Working closely with senior network engineer Paul Pavel, DP Computing implemented a resilient architecture of point-to-point wireless bridges to span the vast geographical distances of the station, supported by managed network switches and strategically placed wireless access points.
These aimed to provide reliable internet connectivity across multiple geographically separated locations, centralised management of all network infrastructure and a scalable platform capable of supporting future growth.
David Perkovic, founder of DP Computing, said this project demonstrates what's possible when the right technology is combined with careful planning and real-world implementation experience.
"Delivering reliable connectivity across such a large and remote property was an exciting challenge, and we're proud of the outcome for Kings Creek Station," he said.
