Data#3 has extended its managed services contract with the Brisbane Airport Corporation for another two years.
The deal includes 24-7 service desk management, network, server, database and desktop support for BAC’s 350 corporate staff, plus network connectivity for 20,000 airport workers.
The Brisbane IT giant said its new solution will improve the airport’s services delivery model to align with its strategy to move towards self-service.
The original multi-million dollar contract was signed in 2013 and also included VoIP and telephone support.
BAC’s chief information officer Mansoor Karatela said the extension elevates the relationship to a more strategic level.
“We needed a technology partner who could be agile and flexible enough to not only manage our day-to-day ICT operation well, but also partner with us to transform and grow our business,” said Karatela.
“The renewal of our outsourcing arrangement with Data#3 was a logical progression, which will allow us to work together to deliver a first class service to our clients, whilst also driving operation efficiencies across our broad ICT environment.”
The contract will run through June 2018.
