Print and IT provider CSG has completed its acquisition of Brisbane-based managed services provider R&G Technologies.

The acquisition will strengthen CSG's capabilities in the cloud and managed IT services space as the company moves toward becoming "the leading single-source provider of technology solutions across Australia and New Zealand".

CSG will add more than 50 R&G enterprise and SME managed services customers with about 2600 subscription seats. This will take CSG's total seats to 13,000.

CSG chief executive Julie-Ann Kerin told CRN: "R&G is one of Queensland’s most well-known and respected managed services providers and a natural fit for CSG.

"With a complementary set of solutions and a highly scalable cloud and infrastructure-as-a-subscription model we can now offer our customers an even broader set of solutions to meet their end-to-end technology needs."

R&G was acquired for $6.6 million, with an upfront payment of $4.6 million and the remaining $2 million to be paid off over two years.

R&G Technologies was No. 45 on the 2016 CRN Fast50, posting a 31.57 percent growth in 2016, with a total revenue of $6.2 million. In 2014, R&G was No. 30 on the Fast50.

The company was founded by Gordan Tan in 2003 and has 38 staff located in Brisbane.

R&G delivers managed services to companies with up to 300 seats, including IT project implementation, virtual CIO and consulting services, SharePoint and software development, Power BI and cloud and WAN services.

"CSG’s value proposition is about saving businesses time and money through enabling them to source fully supported technology products and services as a subscription, from the one partner with one simple bill," Kerin said.

"Today we offer print, desktop, display, communications, cloud and infrastructure-as-a-subscription.With the addition of R&G’s capabilities, our value proposition becomes even stronger in both the enterprise and SMB sectors."

CSG posted $120.7 million in revenue for the first half of the 2017 financial year, a three percent increase on the previous corresponding period.

CSG listed on the ASX in 2007. The company reported a total revenue of $246.6 million for the 2016 financial year.
