CRN Fast50 lister BCT Solutions acquired by Accenture

Accenture has acquired defence IT consultancy and 2018 CRN Fast50 fifth placer BCT Solutions for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will further bolster Accenture's cybersecurity, cyber defence and technical expertise, with the aim of becoming a leading provider of end-to-end capabilities for government clients.

“BCT will complement Accenture’s defence, national security and public safety capabilities in Australia, extending the reach and scale of our business to transform bold ideas into breakthrough outcomes for our public sector clients,” said Catherine Garner,  Accenture’s ANZ Health & Public Service practice lead.

“BCT’s impressive experience and capabilities will enable us to enhance the services we provide to government agencies in Australia - ultimately helping improve the lives of citizens,” Garner said.

BCT was founded by Defence Force veterans Patrick Batch and Angus Heatley in 2015, originally founded as a security consultancy to the resources and energy sectors before pivoting to defence.

The company has offices in Canberra and Brisbane, with the majority of its workforce previously working in defence or related industries, with some even having combat experience.
