ConnXion expands into Malaysia

ASX-listed document delivery provider ConnXion has signed Innovation Associates as a reseller for its products in the Malaysian market.

ConnXion said in a statement that the deal to resell ConnXion's document delivery platform would enable it to enter the Malaysian market. The company wanted to go global, it said.

"Innovation Associates is Malaysia’s largest privately owned management and ICT consultancy, managed by the former partners of Ernst & Young Consulting and Vice Presidents of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in Malaysia," the statement said.

Innovation Associates had a team of 120 strategy, process, ICT and HR consultants, ConnXion said.

Halim Hj Din, managing director of Innovation Associates, said Asian companies could benefit by outsourcing the production and multi-channel delivery of their business documents.

ConnXion Hosted Platform would help Malaysian companies do that, Hj Din said.

"Customer demand and government support is a driver for the move to electronic document communication in Malaysia," Hj Din added.

David Colvin, chief executive at ConnXion, said the Innovation Associates partnership would extend the developer's reach into Asia. The reseller also had a strong profile in Malaysia, he said.

ConnXion said one or two customers had already been signed through Innovation Associates.

"In mid-July, DHL Singapore signed ConnXion to deliver, as a hosted service, production and multi-channel delivery of approximately 1,000,000 documents per month," the company said.

Australian customers include Pacific Brands and Rural Press, which were both signed up this year, ConnXion said.

ConnXion said it produces business documents such as invoices, statements, notices, reminder letters, remittance advices and reports to deliver to customers, shareholders, employees and suppliers across email, fax, SMS and mail.
