Hamlin (pictured) has held a series of management positions in Australia and the UK, particularly with Brambles Limited, where he served most recently as managing director of Recall UK. He has also worked for a number of governmental, corporate, and non-profit organisations, including Landcare Australia, Scholastic Australia, and the Sedgemoor Group.
"Richard brings significant senior management experience, gained in Australia and the United Kingdom, and will help to further develop Canon Australia as a leader in business printing and document management solutions," said Allan Corder, chief operating officer and deputy managing director at Canon Australia.
Beginning the new role this month, Hamlin will be responsible for all direct sales for Canon nationally, including business hardware, software and managed services.
"I'm looking to provide the market with a sales team that delivers effective, tailored end-to-end document solutions", said Hamlin. "More than anything we're providing solutions that support our customers' individual commercial, technological and environmental needs.
"By doing this we'll be strengthening Canon's large enterprise customer focus and increasing its market share."
