Brisbane-based security integrator Bridge Point Communications announced today it would merge with data centre specialists Server Central.
The merger, effective from June 30, would see the end of the Server Central brand with the merged entity to operate under the name of Bridge Point. All staff will move into Bridge Point’s office in Fortitude Valley in central Brisbane.
Bridge Point managing director Rob Siganto said the deal boosted the company’s capabilities around virtualisation, storage and data management.
“Our enhanced data centre practice will be a complementary component to our network and security offerings to service our clients in the burgeoning virtualisation market,” Siganto said.
Server Central managing director Andrew George noted that the two companies have a history of collaborating to develop ICT solutions for Australian organisations.
“In addition to our complementary offerings, the companies are a good cultural fit,” he said. “We both have a very strong focus on customer relationships and people.”
Bridge Point boasts strategic partnerships with multinational security and network vendors including Cisco, Blue Coat, Check Point and RSA.
Server Central delivers a range of solutions from data centre provisioning to managed services and storage to organisations throughout Australia.
