Benjamin Morrell has taken over as Coro's VP of security strategy.

He joined the company a year ago as senior presales engineer after serving in a cyber security technology leadership role as part of NEXTGEN's CONNECT initiative.

Prior to this, he held such positions as senior presales engineer at Anomali; senior security presales engineer at Secureworks; and technical support specialist at Bitdefender.

Demetrios Georgiou, Coro's VP of sales for Asia Pacific, said in a LinkedIn post that Morrell's appointment was a "well-deserved move at a pivotal stage of growth".

"I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Ben for almost a decade across the industry, including his leadership roles at Bitdefender, Secureworks and Anomali — and I always knew it was only a matter of time before he stepped into a global leadership role," he said.

"Ben brings a rare mix of real-world security operations experience, product thinking, and commercial acumen.

"This is a big moment for ANZ, and equally important to our global vision. Our partners across the region are on the frontline every day — and their insights, challenges, and customer demands are critical in shaping how platforms like Coro evolve."

In March, Coro named Jamie Barling as partner sales manager for ANZ.
