Distie vet Wendy O'Keeffe has decamped from Singapore and returned to Australia for a new role, to lead NEXTGEN's new CONNECT initiative.

CRN Australia asked O'Keeffe what the new gig entails, and she explained that the CONNECT name is a strategic choice for technology provider and distributor NEXTGEN.

"It means the bridge and connection between all related channel services that NEXTGEN has to offer including operational services of NEXTGEN Distribution," O'Keeffe said.

"So yes, it can and will draw on all the services NEXTGEN offers."

O'Keeffe explained that CONNECT will provide a framework to market for new independent software,  Amazon Web Services, and Software-as-a-Service vendors, as well as emerging technology vendors, that includes all services NEXTGEN offers.

"With each vendor that CONNECT partners with, an oSpace digital sales program will be built to drive lead generation and pipeline to fastrack revenue," O'Keeffe said.

"This pipeline will be linked to CONNECT's partner development team and solutions team to work with right fit partners to deliver the sale," she added.

"CONNECT will work closely with our marketing services company, Elastic Digital to help support brand elevation in market for these new vendors, particularly those that have not entered these markets yet.

In other words, CONNECT will use all the operational and finance services that NEXTGEN Distribution has, making it an end-to-end solution for the abovementioned vendors, according to O'Keeffe.

"We like to think this will be a continuous flywheel approach starting with building leads/pipeline, brand elevation, partner development, enablement and partner led professional services," O'Keeffe said.

Prior to running CONNECT, O'Keeffe was the managing director of NEXTGEN Asia, stationed in Singapore since 2020.

NEXTGEN was acquired by France headquartered Exclusive Networks group in March this year, as the cybersecurity company sought to expand in the Australia and New Zealand region.
