AWS consulting partner BlazeClan Technologies has migrated the IT infrastructure of Sydney-based Mindfields to AWS WorkSpaces.
Mindfields, a robotic process automation and artificial intelligence advisory firm, provides strategy services to specific executives on “emerging” and “disruptive” technologies.
“We are very impressed with the personal touch and professionalism that the BlazeClan team showed while migrating our team to the virtual desktop with AWS,” Mindfields managing director Mohit Sharma said.
“They implemented a fully customised solution based on our unique requirements.”
Blazeclan provided Mindfields desktop-as-a-service with high-end virtual desktops as part of the migration, with WorkSpaces and other AWS services like WorkDocs and AWS Active Directory used to host existing applications and tools.
The company’s robotic process automation applications were also migrated to AWS to host automation-as-a-service.
Prior to this deployment, the company was using a legacy system that relied on less secure third party file sharing solutions, and was also limited in its ability to scale up.
“There was a time when we had to use client laptops just to circumvent security, and that was not an option anymore as we grew bigger,” Sharma said.
“We started out with 10 people, and now at 65, we needed something that’s better suited for our needs.”
“It’s a great move for Mindfields to shift to desktop virtualization which is backed by AWS,” Blazeclan managing partner Amit Bassi said.
“This shift not only saves IT infrastructure costs but also provides additional benefits of integrated security, flexibility and increased productivity.”
He added that the shift to WorkSpaces has simplified sharing, storing and extracting digital content and documents for Mindfields, and that the company is “in a better position” to operate on standardised infrastructure across all devices and locations.
Headquartered in India, Blazeclan opened its Sydney office in September last year, which holds the company’s Australia and New Zealand operations.
