Application portfolio management software vendor AppDynamics has hired Scott Janney to build out its channel business in Australia.
Janney is the first head of alliances and channel since AppDynamics launched in Australia two-and-a-half years ago.
In the new role, he will be responsible for building out AppDynamics' channel team and business across Asia-Pacific and Japan.
"My approach is around partner alignment," Janney told CRN. "We'll work with partners were we can help each other.
"We sell to both traditional IT and at a technical level, but we're also strong with business managers, so it's about making sure partners have those conversations with all levels of business that's important, and we're looking for someone with that expertise."
Prior to joining AppDynamics, Janney was senior director of global partners and strategic alliances for NetSuite for 18 months. He spent nearly nine years at Juniper Networks from 2005 to 2013 first as director of advanced technologies before moving on to director of sales and strategic alliances APAC. Janney was also managing director of Radware Australia for seven months in 2014.
AppDynamics provides partners with tools to monitor, manage and optimise software environments for customers. The company has had a presence in Australia for two years and has an office in Melbourne.
