Components vendor AMD has signed a distribution agreement with Synnex in Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan.
The agreement was formed in response to demand from Synnex's customers for AMD technology, while providing both parties with an opportunity to target new markets.
Ian Low, sales and marketing vice president, South Asia, AMD Far East, said, Synnex is part of AMD's overall growth strategy in the AN/Z region.
Under the terms of the agreement, Synnex will serve as an authorised AMD distributor, focusing on the immediate delivery of computing technology to partners and resellers across ANZ.
Caleb Leung, country manager for A/NZ, AMD, said, Synnex is one of the largest distributors in the Asia Pacific region.
“The division that specialises in components will help strengthen AMD's accessibility among dealers and system builders in AN/Z,” he said.
Kee Ong, chief executive officer, Synnex Australia, said AMD has seen significant growth in the components market, and as such demand for AMD's products from its customer's has steadily increased.
