Aerohive Networks has hired a new country manager and a senior channel account manager.
The new ANZ country manager Kenny Soutar comes to the networking vendor from the same position at monitoring company Fluke Networks. He has also served stints at Citrix, 3Com and Infoblox.
Soutar replaces Peter Davison, who left the company in July after four years serving as the top Australian executive. Davison declined to comment when contacted by CRN.
Soutar said that Aerohive sees "a lot of potential" in the Australian market and will focus on "the enterprise, retail, education, and healthcare sectors".
Aerohive also announced the appointment of Ken Cartwright as senior channel account manager. He has joined the vendor from rival Ruckus Wireless's UK operations, and also has Brocade and Extricom on his resume.
"Aerohive is continually improving its channel program, which serves as the framework for sales of our enhanced enterprise product set," Cartwright said.
Aerohive is distributed by DNA Connect, in a deal announced at the start of the year. The vendor last month aligned with Juniper to step in for its wireless needs, after Aruba Networks was acquired by Hewlett-Packard.
