Unified communications solutions wholesaler Access4 has bought Channel UC to expand its product range.
The acquisition leverages Channel UC's expertise in omni-channel contact centre solutions, AI product development, professional services and proprietary Session Border Controller as a Service (SBCaaS).
SBCaaS are virtualised, self-managed SBCs.
These allow partners to connect third-party UCaaS or CCaaS solutions anywhere in the world, to the provider's ecosystem of products.
These additions complement Access4's existing portfolio of UCaaS, analytics, messaging and security products.
The combined entity now has over 600 transacting reseller partners and more than 300,000 services on Access4's SASBOSS unified cloud communications and collaboration platform.
Channel UC's 22-strong global team will join Access4, with managing director Brad Milne and director Matt Milne taking roles in Access4's senior leadership.
Both will contribute to shaping business strategy and deepening relationships with partners and vendors.
"For both Channel UC and Access4 partners, this acquisition represents a 'better together' story," Tim Jackson, managing director at Access4, said.
"By combining our strengths, we are positioned to deliver greater innovation, expanded support, and enhanced business opportunities," Jackson said.
Partners will benefit from an improved product offering, consolidated support resources and seamless business continuity.
Channel UC partners will have access to a flexible transition programme.
"The merger marks a new era in cloud communications," Brad Milne said.
"As we integrate our operations, our priority remains focused on supporting our partners and delivering exceptional value," Milne added.
This acquisition follows Access4's purchase of Perth-based Novum Networks in December 2022.
Channel UC was previously a stand-alone division of Mia Distribution.
It became an independent business when Mia was acquired by Bluechip Infotech in 2022.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed by Access4.
