Accenture snaps up Adelaide Oracle partner PrimeQ

Adelaide Oracle specialist PrimeQ has been acquired by Accenture in a deal that reportedly creates the biggest Oracle cloud systems integrator in the country.

The deal brings a growing competitor to Accenture into the fold to boost its cloud services, while also strengthening its Oracle capability against rival Deloitte.

“PrimeQ has extensive experience implementing Oracle SaaS Cloud solutions, which complements Accenture’s established credentials across the Oracle Cloud portfolio,” said James Madigan, who leads Accenture’s Oracle business in Australia and New Zealand.

Founded in 2016, PrimeQ has built up skills in Oracle SaaS Cloud enterprise resource planning and specialises in transport, warehouse management and CRM. The company was named Oracle’s specialised partner of the year for ERP cloud in 2017 and 2018.

PrimeQ Chief executive and co-founder Andrew McAdams said he is pleased to join Accenture to drive new outcomes for customers, staff and shareholders.

“Together, Accenture and PrimeQ will provide our clients with unrivaled Oracle services and enable them to accelerate their digital transformation,” he said.

The deal, according to Fairfax, which first reported on the sale, reportedly saw $31 million change hands.

Accenture has more than 54,000 Oracle consultants across the globe, built up over a 25-year relationship with the vendor. The consultancy is a global cloud elite and platinum level member of the Oracle partner network and is also an Oracle cloud excellence implementer.
