Cooper (pictured), will be responsible for enhancing 3Com’s relationships with the channel community in Australia, as well as looking for new partners.
She will replace Steele Gersbach who 3Com said ‘has gone on to pursue other career opportunities’.
“It’s a really exciting period of change and growth at 3Com and I’m very happy to be a part of that,” said Cooper.
“3Com is on a good growth path at the moment. We’ve seen solid growth in the last financial year and it will be part of my role as channel account manager to develop a plan around building our capacity within the channel to achieve ongoing results like these,” she added.
According to Cooper, 3Com has clear business objectives to do with green IT, voice, data, wireless, security and being commercially competitive in the challenging current economic times.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my experiences to help 3Com enhance the value that we provide our customers, partners and employees,” she added.
Prior to 3Com, Cooper spent two years as business development manager for Thales Australia where she helped to win a major new business deal within its civil business division.
She has also held positions at Downer, AlphaWest and Data #3 where she focused on the maintenance and development of partner relationships and promoting the brand.
“Nicole’s skills, combined with more than 19 years experience in the technology field, make her an ideal fit for the 3Com team here in Australia,” said Grant Howe, 3Com country manager for Australia.
“She has demonstrated her ability as a business leader in her previous roles and she can repeat this success in her new role by leading our channel division as 3Com continues to grow.”
