Microsoft opened the doors of its first flagship retail store outside the US in Sydney's Pitt Street Mall on Thursday. The opening also coincided with the launch of Microsoft's latest consumer hardware, including the Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and Band 2.

Hundreds of customers lined up in Sydney's Pitt Street Mall to get inside the store.
Dominic Tresize was first in the queue, after lining up since 7pm the night before. For his efforts, Dominic won a 1TB Xbox One.
Microsoft's new laptop Surface Book went on sale today as a retail exclusive to the store.
Microsoft Store employees welcomed waiting customers with a round of applause.
Customers also got a hands on with devices from Microsoft OEM partners, such as the HP Spectre x2.
A range of games and accessories for Xbox One will be available from the Microsoft store. Xbox One consoles will be updated with a version of Windows 10 when the store opens.
Customers young and old also got a first look at the Surface Pro 4. Microsoft's latest hybrid is also a store exclusive.
