CSC lands $13m deal with electoral commission

US-based integrator CSC has won a $13.2 million mainframe services contract with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

The five-year contract runs until July 2019 and will see CSC help the AEC handle peaks in its mainframe workload.

CSC has existing contracts with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, IP Australia and the AEC, said Paul Hamilton, the integrator's account general manager for the AEC, IP Australia and Department of Finance.

Earlier this year IP Australia announced a $5 million renewal of a mainframe managed services deal with CSC including personnel, equipment and software.

In June the integrator opened a security operations centre housing 70 staff in Sydney in June.

Earlier this year the company appointed IBM veteran Seelan Nayagam as the managing director of is Australian operation.
