Dicker Data today announced the completion of stage two of its warehouse expansion, boosting its Sydney facility by 5000sqm.
The distributor’s Kurnell facility opened in 2010 with 4000sqm of warehouse space and 1000sqm office space, as part of the first stage of Dicker Data’s new facility construction.
Two further stages will support further growth. The second stage has seen the centre grow more by than double, while the company expects to add a further 5000sqm as part of the third and final phase. Dicker Data told CRN construction on the third stage is currently under consideration.
The 6-hectare block of land the facility sits on currently has 11,000sqm of space free. It is the distributor’s only warehouse in Australia.
The company recently scored a $20 million loan with Macquarie Bank to fund purchases from its biggest vendor partner, HP.
A spokesperson for the company told CRN aside from the HP partnership expansion, no new vendor contracts were currently on the cards, and the warehouse expansion would support organic growth.
