Markinson kicks off growth spurt

Software solution provider Markinson has acquired Australia and New Zealand CRM specialist Adexio.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, adds over 200 business customers to Markinson's 250 existing customers and additional offices in New Zealand, Markinson claimed in a statement.

The company has also claimed that all of Adexio's management and staff will transition to Markinson and take up their roles there.

The announcement signals the start of an aggressive expansion plan to new markets and countries.

According to Markinson, the company is considering further acquisitions this financial year.

"The acquisition supports our desire to increase market share in the small business software market by rapidly boosting scale through a combination of acquisition and organic growth said Ian Whiting, CEO at Markinson.

"Extending our range of solutions in accordance with market trends is a fundamental
element of our growth strategy," he added.

Markinson was founded over 20 years ago and is a privately owned company which partners with Sage and Microsoft.
