Security vendor WatchGuard Technologies has promoted Anthony Daniel to the position of managing director for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, building on his successful tenure as regional director since 2021.
Daniel has been instrumental in driving regional sales growth and expanding business operations for the global unified cybersecurity leader, which focuses on supporting managed service providers.
In his expanded role, he will continue to oversee channel partner development, distribution strategy and revenue growth across the region.
"I'm honoured to step into this role, and my focus remains consistent — working closely with our partners to deliver security that's precise, adaptable, and truly supportive," Daniel said.
WatchGuard said it is seeing double-digit growth and increasing adoption of its unified cybersecurity platform among managed service providers (MSPs).
"Across the APJ region, we've seen strong and consistent growth driven by the success of our channel-first strategy, and the ANZ region has been a standout performer under the leadership of Anthony Daniel," vice president for sales, Sylvaine Lejeune said.
Globally, WatchGuard has strengthened its cybersecurity portfolio through strategic acquisitions, including CyGlass, which brought advanced network detection and response capabilities, and ActZero, which expanded the company's managed detection and response offering.
