Telco provider Vocus has started selling three Amcom products just weeks after its merger with the telco rival became official.
Calling the offer a "significant milestone” in the integration of both companies, Vocus today began offering Ethernet Multipoint, SIP Trunks and IP WAN services “adapted” from Amcom. The three products are being sold under the Vocus brand.
Vocus chief executive James Spenceley said he wanted Vocus to be the “third force in corporate telecommunications”. ““The combined business offers the size and scale of a national fibre and data centre footprint, without the red tape of some of our larger competitors,” he said.
The merger was approved by the Federal Court in June despite shareholder TPG disprupting the merger increasing its stake in Amcom.
Vocus’ new Ethernet Multipoint services mean it can provide meshed national Ethernet network to customers that want to retain control of their WAN. Vocus offers speeds up to 1Gbps to “most parts of Australia”, and up to 10GBps along its fibre footprint.
Vocus customers can also now outsource WAN design, implementation, management and maintenance.
