Vocus has gone all-in with Google Cloud, announcing itself as a reseller, wholesaler and customer

The telco revealed that it will bring Google Cloud’s services to its Australian enterprise and government clients, saying it would become a “key sales channel”.

Vocus is spreading the Google Cloud love to its channel partners too, saying they’ll also be able to deliver Google Cloud services with a focus on cloud infrastructure and data analytics.

The telco also announced itself as a Google Cloud Interconnect partner, in addition to being a customer for its own digital transformation purposes.

“We’re excited to be collaborating with one of the world’s most innovative businesses to bring the very best connectivity and services to enterprise and government customers that we can,” said Vocus’ chief executive, enterprise & government Andrew Wildblood.

“We’re also excited to be collaborating on ways we can enhance our own business transformation by drawing on the capabilities of Google Cloud technology.”

Google Cloud ANZ country director Colin Timm added: “We look forward to working with Vocus to enhance our reach into the enterprise market in key verticals and to help further expand Google Cloud’s footprint in this region.”

Vocus’s existing cloud services include cloud compute, backup-as-a-service, cloud backup for Veeam and disaster recovery. The company also offers private, high-speed connections to the two biggest cloud players, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
