The Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) has released a tender for the supply of Microsoft Dynamics, CRM and Business Central support and enhancement services.
SMCT is a provider of cemetery, cremation and memorialisation services. Administering nine cemetery sites within Melbourne, SMCT is a Victorian Government public body and not-for-profit organisation employing 305 staff across nine sites.
SMCT recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM (with a highly customised Cemetery Records System module) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The request for tender seeks to ensure operational continuity and system support is maintained without dependency on fixed internal capacity; enable responsive access to skilled Dynamics resources, aligned with SMCT’s Agile sprint-based delivery model; and reduce lead time and administrative burden when engaging support or delivery services.
The successful supplier(s) will work as an extension of SMCT’s internal team, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint delivery and strategic system evolution.
Suppliers should be able to offer functional and technical support for Dynamics CRM and Business Central, along with development and customisation capabilities, particularly for the custom Cemetery Records System module.
Suppliers will also need to provide bug fixes and performance tuning; integration support (e.g., APIs, middleware); and consultation and advisory services on system architecture, roadmaps, system optimisation or system best practice.
The initial term of the contract will be for three years with two potential extensions of one year each.
The tender closes at 2.00pm (AEDT) on 23rd October 2025.
