UXC Eclipse has bought the ERP assets of Californian company Winedirect - its third acquisition in North America in 18 months.
The buyout will make UXC Eclipse a global leader in Dynamics NAV for the wine industry, claims the Australian company.
UXC Eclipse already sells its Dynamics NAV-based product VinPoint in the Asia-Pacific, which will be combined with WineDirect’s products and branded globally as VinPoint.
Business in North America is booming for UXC Eclipse, which has also bought Cole systems and assets of Tectura. It also snapped up the assets of Microsoft Dynamics AX partner Koorb Consulting in New Zealand recently.
The company’s revenues in the USA total $68 million, and it has more than 200 staff in the country.
The combined UXC-Winedirect product will include modules for vineyard management, winemaking, warehouse management and manufacturing.
Winedirect president Andrew Kamphuis complimented UXC Eclipse for its “laser focus” on ERP.
"They know what they’re doing with Dynamics NAV and with industry IP,” he said.
