US-based UPS vendor Tripp Lite has appointed Brisbane-based UPS specialist Uptime Systems as its newest local distributor, in an arrangement that will make Uptime Systems its proxy in Australia.

Tripp Lite offers power distribution units (PDUs), cabling solutions, racks and cabinets, among others.

“We’re looking for reseller partners like system integrators, IT consultants and in retail channels,” Uptime Systems chief executive Brad Andrews told CRN.

“Tripp Lite’s product range is very broad — we have a number of product solutions to suit the whole entire channel ecosystem.”

Andrews said Tripp Lite will also bring its partner program locally, which includes a partner rewards program, which is expected to go live in June.

Uptime is also looking to target government, healthcare and education customers with Tripp Lite products.

The agreement extends to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and Andrews said Uptime may may look to appoint distributors in those nations. Andrews said expansion further into Asia-Pacific is also on the cards.

Uptime also works with other UPS brands, which include APC by Schneider Electric, CyberPower and PowerShield.
