Unixpac resellers to defend with Breach Security

Unixpac became interested in Breach Security when the vendor incorporated its open source ModSecurity project into its technology line, said Tom Piotrowski, managing director at Unixpac.

He told CRN: “We are always on the lookout for leading IT Security technologies. I have been following up progress with Breach Security. An agreement was negotiated at RSA 2008 event in San Francisco in April and the deal was signed in July.”

Breach Security’s WebDefend application security appliance provides end users with the ability to maintain Web application integrity, detect data leakage and monitor inbound and outbound Web traffic. The product also facilitates communication between IT security and development teams, claimed Piotrowski.

According to Piotrowski any security savvy reseller would be interested in Breach’s products, as it addresses the needs of application level security with particular emphasis on securing commercial web servers.

“The technology will help [resellers’] clients to plug the security holes in web application provisioning. The resellers are set to enjoy margins from the sale and subsequent support,” he claimed.

Pitotrowski told CRN that any organisation running commercial web server sites would be interested in this product.
