Rental and finance service provider, Technology Fund Management has launched TrueRent, an IT hardware rental offering that can be sold through resellers.
TrueRent lets independent retail operators, resellers and systems integrators sell finance for IT equipment.
Jol Sinclair, media spokesperson said TrueRent was developed to provide independent retailers with an alternative to Flexirent and RentSmart.
“Harvey Norman uses Flexirent and Rentsmart. We wanted to provide smaller resellers with a competitive product” he said.
Through TrueRent, retailers would receive a 6 percent rebate for transactions worth up to $10,000. For transactions between $10,000 and $20,000, the resellers receive a 2 percent [rebate], said Sinclair.
“Their staff will also receive 2 percent for [transactions] under $10,000 and 1 percent for anything between $10,000 to $20,000,” he said.
Sinclair said TrueRent will also provide resellers with access to marketing funds and products with pre-approved credit limits.
