Systems integrator Tardis will change its name to Meridian IT Australia on 1 October.
Managing director Nick King said the name change would put the company in line with its parent company, Meridian IT.
“The trading name of ‘Tardis Services Pty Ltd’, within our circles carries significant reputation, but has no relation to our status as part of the Meridian Group International organisation.
“As Meridian IT Australia, we better align with the group and communicate the scale of business which we bring to our customers.”
Tardis sales and marketing manager Stephen White will become country manager of Meridian.
The name change will also allow the company to leverage its resources and forge new relationships with vendors such as HP and Oracle.
Tardis is known for working with IBM, Intel and UNIX to deliver enterprise-grade managed services.
The company was founded in 1994 and acquired by Meridian IT in 2007.
