Amazon Web Services has named its top partners for 2018, with Melbourne-based Versent being named best consulting partner for the third year in a row.
The awards were handed out during AWS Partner Summit in Sydney this week, selected by a panel of AWS experts.
Versent won APN Consulting Partner of the Year for its success in migrating customers to the cloud, its migration methodologies and for developing cloud-native applications, beating out other finalists Contino and Deloitte. Versent also won the same award for 2017 and 2018 and last year was named as an AWS premier partner, the cloud vendor’s highest certification level for achieving competencies in security, DevOps and migration.
The next award for APN Technology Partner of the Year for ISV partners went to Cloud Confirmity for its work on improving the cloud migration journey by developing a governance platform, provisioning real-time security and compliance. The other two finalists were GorillaStack and TechnologyOne.
The APN Differentiation Partner of the Year - Application Transformation and Migration was given to a partner that migrated a significant number of customers to the cloud. The award went to Contino, which works across transport, utilities and finance verticals, beating out Versent and Consegna.
The same award but for Data, Analytics and Machine Learning went to Intellify, winning over Kablamo and Qrious. The award went to the partner that demonstrated excellence in solving complex business problems with data.
The last award for Social Impact Partner of the Year was based on the company that contributed to driving a positive social impact with its customer. The award went to New Zealand consulting partner Clearpoint for its work migrating non-profit Eat My Lunch to the cloud. The organisation helps deliver more than one million lunches to children in need.
AWS managing director for Australia and New Zealand Paul Migliorini said the awards reflected the innovation partners are doing with their customers.
“We are excited to continue to support our partners and ISVs as they innovate on behalf of customers, leveraging the breadth and depth of services AWS offers. This year’s APN Award winners and their customers should be proud of the contributions they are making not just to business and industry, but to society across Australia and New Zealand,” Migliorini said.
