Telsyte appoints new MD

Industry analyst outfit Telsyte has appointed noted digital industry researcher and commentator Foad Fadaghi as its managing director.

He told CRN it was "business as usual" and the new job title was largely a formal recognition of the work he had already been doing.

Fadaghi, who caused a bit of a stir last week with a whitepaper that blew away the recent mobile search estimates of the IAB, has worked for the company since June 2010, most recently as its research director.

He is one of the best known and regarded analysts in sector, having also spent a time as the technology editor of BRW, the global marketing research head of Friendster and research director of Frost & Sullivan.

In addition to his Telstye gig, Fadaghi is also a board member and advisor to KayWeb Angels, "an investment group based in New York City, providing development services and mentoring to web and mobile startups." according to Linkedin.
