Tech.Ed Australia sees bumper registration

Microsoft Australia's Tech.Ed Australia 2009 has sold out, in advance of the opening day on the 8-11 September.

The vendor claims it was one of the "earliest sell out ever".

Tech.Ed, is a developer and IT professional training events, providing attendees with access to technical experts, the technical information and hands-on labs.

In a statement to the media, Microsoft said 2,400 registered IT professionals and software developers, will descend on the event, to be held on Queensland's Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This year, delegates will be a part of a simultaneous hands-on Windows 7 evaluation.

The working 'test lab' environment is being facilitated by 2,400 wirelessly networked HP Mini 2140 notebooks which are being given out to delegates to allow them to put Windows 7 through its paces.

In addition, Certification will be a key focus of this year's event with over 300 attendees expected to walk away with qualifications.

Microsoft will be providing on-site training sessions, practice tests and a 40 percent discount off the recommended retail price on certification exams.

Other learning opportunities will also be available in the vendor's hands-on labs, allowing delegates to take self-paced training courses.
