Synnex's technology-as-a-service platform goes live with Microsoft, HP, Lenovo

Synnex has gone live with its technology-as-a-service offering, which it said will make it easier for partners to launch their own anything-as-a-service offering.

The service, launched in partnership with Microsoft, Lenovo and HP, will allow resellers to offer services from hardware, software, licensing, managed services and cloud subscriptions under one monthly bill.

“We are thrilled to extend our holistic end-to-end solutions model with TaaS; allowing partners to differentiate themselves amongst all other MSPs who are trying to achieve a common goal,” product marketing director Darren Tan said.

Synnex partnered up with Managed Services Finance to allow offer partners a minimum finance entry point of $1000 over 12 to 60-month terms. The distie has also partnered with Renew IT for its buyback program, which can be activated at any time during the contract's run, along with customisable pre-deployment, deployment and end-of-life and lease services.

“We have achieved a global first to integrate finance approval and settlement automation in a distribution partner platform," Synnex Australia e-commerce and cloud services general manager Michael Tea said.

"This gives our resellers extreme flexibility to put hardware, software, licensing, services and cloud under a single monthly services bill”

Synnex also announced a new tie up with Apple with its Apple configure-to-order (CTO) platform, allowing partners to configure and purchase Apple products online. The new Apple platform connects to Synnex's existing e-commerce partner portal so partners can select customised Apple products and purchase orders.

“With better efficiency and quicker turnaround time, this cuts off double data entry and wait times. Apple partners can now be more agile; creating quotations and ordering online using this new CTO platform,” Synnex Australia business development representative Onaiz Khan said.

Tan added that the Apple CTO would be a core part of the distie's go-to-market plan. "This further enhances our e-commerce partner portal, which offers hardware, CSP, cloud, licensing, professional services, finance automation and our recently added buyback program all under the one single log in.”

Synnex is aiming for at least 50 percent of its authorised Apple partners to use the new platform in the coming education season.
