The event brings together the company’s traditional Vision conference and the ManageFusion event run by IT management software specialist Altiris, acquired by Symantec last year.
The security vendor will also introduce a channel focused stream at the conference to provide partners with an opportunity to hear updates on the investments Symantec has made in the channel over the past year.
The conference will provide partners with solution training to assist them in maximising opportunities in the Australian market, said David Dzienciol, sales and channels director, Pacific, Symantec.
“Over the last year we launched a number of successful training and incentive programs, such as Aspire and Opportunity Registration and we will continue to invest significantly in our partner infrastructure, training and incentive programs moving forward.”
The security vendor is also encouraging its SMB partners to attend the conference to gain a better understanding of how Symantec will continue to invest in programs that will drive efficiencies in capturing ongoing renewal business in the SMB customer segment, Dzienciol said.
In an interview with CRN, Symantec was also quick to put down all reports in the media that Symantec was changing its channel strategy in the Australian and New Zealand region.
“I can assure you that there has been no shift in our channel strategy. The vast majority of our business across Australia and New Zealand flows through our channel partners and we are deeply committed to providing market leading products, the best quality service and support, and programs to drive profitability for our partners. We will continue to rely on partners and look forward to seeing as many of our channel partner colleagues at this year’s Vision event as possible,” said Dzienciol.
Brad College, general manager, Licensing Solutions, Data#3 said as a local partner, it continues to see opportunities to partner with Symantec in the local market. “The training and incentive programs add real value to our business and demonstrates Symantec’s ongoing commitment to the partner community,” he said.
Vision + ManageFusion conference will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, 26 August this year.
