Sydney-based IT provider Cloud Specialists has launched a competition asking its customers to come up with innovative solutions based on Microsoft’s Office 365.

The most captivating tech idea will score the winner a $20,000 tech fund.

Organised alongside with Telstra and Microsoft, the competition will run from 1 February to 31 March this year and is only open to Australian registered businesses with more than 25 staff.

Cloud Specialists’ managing director, Adalbert Hutter, said: “This competition is all about rewarding innovative thinking and business acumen in the Australian midmarket. We have partnered with Telstra and Microsoft to give Australian businesses a chance to transform the way they operate.

“Office 365 has been in the market for a number of years now and we understand how this technology plays a key role in the business strategy of many organisations. Today we want to take this a step further.”

A panel of business and technology experts will review the entries and announce the winners on 20 April.

Interested companies must complete the entry form and explain how they would use the fund to transform their business.

Cloud Specialists is not the first channel company to organise such a competition. Last year, Brennan IT gave one of its customers $30,000 to fund a mobile workforce project after winning the Sydney MSP's Innovation Lab challenge.
