Sydney comms reseller Nexgen Australia has won Panasonic Australia's PBX dealer of the year and High Achievers Program awards.

The vendor announced that Nexgen came out on top from a pool of more than 150 unified comms dealers, after racking up the highest total sales for year ending March 2016.

“Being announced as dealer of the year comes as a result of hard work, commitment and determination. Nexgen Australia could not have achieved this success without a great team and the support of Panasonic and its distributor, CommsPlus Distribution," said Nexgen director James Harb.

The success was driven by sales of the KX-NS700 Smart Hybrid PBX Business Telephone System, according to Panasonic.

Nexgen, based in the western suburb of Parramatta, also clinched a Panasonic High Achievers Program award. The company, along with nine other Australian winners, were granted trips to Japan for the honour.

Panasonic did not disclose the other winners of the award.

The Panasonic honours follow Nexgen's triumph as NEC Australia's unified communications partner of the year in September.
