What telco services and technologies do you specialise in?
We deal with a multitude of suppliers from a variety of channels. We have partnered with key suppliers such as Panasonic, NEC, M2 Wholesale, AAPT/TPG and Cytrack that provide high-quality products and services in spaces ranging from traditional networks to cloud solutions.
When did your company first get involved in this area?
Nexgen has been in telecommunications for more than 15 years. We offer a comprehensive solution for unified communications and high-speed internet, standard and digital services and networked security cameras.
What are your telecommunications credentials?
Nexgen Australia is certified and accredited with NEC, Panasonic and NBN premium dealer agreements. For Nexgen to maintain certification and accreditation and continue providing a high level of service, we conduct continuous training and development.
Who are your main carrier partners or distributors for telco technology?
As a hardware and network provider, we rely heavily on relationships. Our network partners are M2 Wholesale and AAPT. We have very strong partnerships with the two biggest phone hardware providers, NEC and Panasonic.
Heard of any cool developments in the telco space recently?
Probably the biggest development in the telecommunications-multi channel space over the past few years has been the rollout of the NBN. With the introduction of faster fibre such as our Fibre 400 in CBD areas, communications has never been more streamlined.
Can you tell us about a recent telco deployment?
Primo Fine Foods, a wholesale catering business in Gosford servicing customers throughout NSW, discovered calls from existing and potential customers were being missed. We recommended they use a NEC Univerge SV 8100 server. Following a prompt and professional installation of the server and six new handsets, lost or unanswered calls are now a thing of the past.
What is driving customers’ telco projects?
With unified communications being introduced into the market, business phone systems are becoming more and more feature-rich and accessible to more and more small to medium businesses. These new systems, when combined with the improved network speeds of the NBN, have really been a driving force in streamlining business processes, improving customer service and making businesses more efficient.
Telecommunications is...
Not just about the phones, it’s about the total network solution and overall business experience.
