Sydney MSP Enablis appoints Leonard Kleinman as CISO

Sydney-based managed services provider Enablis has appointed Leonard Kleinman to the new role of chief information security officer (CISO).

Kleinman brings over 33 years' experience across security strategy, risk management, IT strategy, software development and solution architecture.

He joins Enablis from Palo Alto Networks where he held the position of field CTO and evangelist for Cortex in Asia Pacific and Japan.

He is also an associate adjunct professor at Edith Cowan University and an advisory board member at the Oceania Cyber Security Centre.

Kleinman, who will begin in his new role on 6 May 2024, has a background in providing Australian and global organisations with cybersecurity governance and strategy guidance.

The first is the need for deep governance expertise to align a company's regulatory obligations (such as Essential 8, ISO27001, etc.) with the most current cybersecurity technologies, including an understanding of how solutions like SASE fulfill specific requirements of Essential 8 or ISO27001,” said Stuart Couchman, CEO of Enablis.

“The second gap centres around the effective communication of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance issues to board members and ensuring the board fully grasps the strategic implications. In his new role as CISO Leonard will work closely with our customers in both areas to provide strategic guidance."
