ASX-listed fixed wireless and wholesale network infrastructure provider Swoop said it has appointed Tomas Diaz as the new head of Moose Mobile, a position he has held since April this year.

With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, including his previous role as consumer and SMB general manager at Symbio, Diaz brings valuable expertise to Swoop.

Diaz most recent role was as the general manager of strategy and performance at listed telco Vonex, which Swoop is attempting to acquire currently.

In his new role, Diaz will focus on automating processes and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance customer experience.

He aims to build a high-performing team that supports Swoop's continued growth and positive financial performance.

Diaz's primary objectives for the next three years include enhancing average revenue per user (ARPU), improving earnings before tax, and delivering outstanding customer service.

His appointment comes as part of Swoop's ongoing expansion efforts across Australia, which have included nine acquisitions since its listing in May 2021.

The acquisition of Moose Mobile in November 2022 was a milestone for Swoop, initially adding over 94,000 users to its portfolio.

Today, that number has grown to more than 130,000, after the integration of the telco, with continued growth.

Swoop chief executive Alex West noted Diaz's exceptional ability to drive growth, enhance profitability, and improve customer experiences through strategic planning and operational excellence.
