Swift Networks lands content deal with senior living provider IRT

Telco and content solutions provider Swift Networks has signed a digital entertainment contract with Wollongong-based Illawarra Retirement Trust (IRT).

Swift will be the exclusive provider of IRT’s new lifestyle community facilities for a period of three years, with a 75-apartment deployment scheduled to start “in the coming weeks”.

“Working with IRT is a fantastic opportunity for Swift to organically expand its presence in the aged care and lifestyle sectors, continuing to deliver on the company’s strategic direction,” Swift chief executive Xavier Kris said.

“We are proud to support such a well-respected provider of aged care and lifestyle services and look forward to the opportunity to expand the offering across the IRT group.”

The deal also makes Swift the preferred provider of the services to existing IRT lifestyle communities, which has more than 30 sites across Australia.

IRT also operates care centres and home care centres in addition to the lifestyle communities spread across the New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.

Earlier this year, Swift Networks landed a similar content deal with IPTV platform provider Tripleplay Services, servicing 1000 rooms across 10 oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
